Animals who need your help . . .

Cheyenne is a 2-3 year old female pit-bull mix who is heartworm positive and blind in one eye! She's a sweetheart who's housebroken, great with other dogs, good with cats, kids, and just a super dog. She was scheduled for euthanasia at the animal shelter, and we squeezed her into our foster program. We need funds to help cover the costs of Cheyenne’s medical care. Heartworm treatment is expensive, and we have several dogs we are trying to treat! Cheyenne will be available for adoption once treatment is complete.

Many dogs like Cheyenne never have a chance to find a home due to lack of funding and a lack of foster homes. Please contact us ASAP if you can help donate funds toward heartworm positive dogs or are interested in becoming a foster parent!! It's heartbreaking that a dog has to be euthanized just because it was bitten by a mosquito and the owners never bothered to administer heartworm preventative...

Sugar and Spice: Sugar is a one-year-old, female pit-bull mix who also is heartworm positive. She is now in a foster home and receiving treatment. Heartworm treatment is expensive and the cure takes awhile. We are trying to get donations to cover Sugar’s care. She'll be available for adoption soon, and if you're interested in her, please contact us as soon as you can!

Spice was abandoned along with Sugar and was lucky enough to be heartworm negative, but was so neglected that she was bald from the neck down. She was horribly itchy, full of infection, and miserable, but both dogs’ sunshine personalities led us to find foster space in order to save their lives. Spice will get all of her hair back – she’s currently being treated, and it’s already growing back! She'll be a beautiful girl soon! If you can help donate to cover some of the costs of Spice's care or are interested in Spice please contact us!!

Honcho is a one-year-old, neutered male shepherd/Rottweiler mix. He’s good with other dogs, cats, and kids. Honcho is housebroken too! He’s a smart, loving, playful, affectionate boy!

Do you recognize this dog?

Remember seeing pictures of Maggie here on the home page; the starved and heartworm-positive yellow lab who was looking for donations so that she could undergo heartworm treatment once she was stronger? Well, look at her now. Thanks to the love and attention from a wonderful foster home and donations from friends like you, Maggie will soon be ready for adoption. What a happy face! Love is better the second time around.
